The company has launched two variants of the mobike kick-start and self-start. While kick-star would be available at Rs 55,000, the company would charge a premium of Rs 2,000 for the self-start model which is priced at Rs 57,000.
"The contribution of premium bike segment to overall motorcycle sales in the country has gone up to 14 per cent from 10 per cent in 2000. This market is growing and with the new Hunk we will offer good choices to the consumers in the segment, Hero Honda Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Anil Dua told reporters here.
The company currently sells four models in the premium segment (150 cc+) - Hunk, Achiever, CBZ Extrem and Karizma.
