With the Indian two-wheeler industry going through a downslide, market leader Hero Honda today said it would intensify its brand and ground network building campaigns to stay out of the slump.
"So far this calendar, when the indsutry has been going through a slump, we have been able to stay out of it as we have focussed on our brand building campaign and network enhancement activities. It has worked for us and we plan to do more of the same going forward," Hero Honda Motors Ltd Vice-President Marketing and Sales Anil Dua told PTI here.
He said this year the company would spend more than last year on advertisement and publicity, but declined to disclose the numbers.
As per the company's annual report of 2005-06, Hero Honda spent Rs 212.41 crore on advertisement and publicity. The annual report for 2006-07 is yet to be released
