Yamaha India shows a Ultra Sexy Prototype called the FZ-150 in Auto Expo 2008.. Will this one make into production..??
The memory of the Yamaha Gladiator 150-165 cc "Prototype" is still fresh in my mind. The Gladiator 150-165 cc "Prototype" was another concept which was shown in Auto Expo 2006 but sadly never saw the light of the day. The other Yamaha product shown at the Auto Expo 2008, the YZF-R15 seems almost production ready and therefore I chose to cover that before the FZ-150.
The FZ-150 "Prototype" shown in the Auto Expo 2008 has a 150 cc engine, carburettor (instead of fuel injection), fat rear tyres (about as big as Pulsar 200/220 rear tyres), air cooled engine (not liquid cooled like the YZF-R15), 5 speed gearbox (insted of a 6 speed one on the YZF-R15) and also the FZ-150 doesn't have the "delta" frame of the YZF-R15.
Maybe the only change that Yamaha India needs to make in the FZ-150 is change the rear tyres from the impossibly fat (for a 150 cc) to the ones found on the Pulsar 150's and the Apache's. Apart from the tyre change the looks of the FZ-150 should be left untouched

is it will be killer bike when it come out in the market , and about the rear tyre kep it the way it is as it looks gud .
How do you know the price and the mileage of fz 150?....how ever if you are right..i will be the first person to book this monster.)))))))))))))
i know the prices b'cuz i worked in yamaha marketing division.
"worked" then you can't be updated on the the future policies & decisions.
nice bike definately hit the indian roads and beat other competetors
beautiful fat rear tire. love that more than the tire on R15
fz150 will be a big flop if ..............price & mileage ain't suitable for indian condition.

i dun care to buy it even if its placed @75k.n with a mileage of 40kmpl.its really gonna rock.
this is expected to give a mileages of 31 kmpl in city and 40 in highway. it will enter the market with a value of rupees 70000.

price will be approx 60000 like pulsar 150, mileage will also be in same bracket 45-50. so for these 2 factors it will not flop.

must be checking for road usability. many such FZ15 spotted in Delhi, Noida & Faridabad too.
without a fat rear tyre it'll look stupid, it'll be like a Body Builder with huge chest but with no biceps or thighs, a fat rear tyre is a MUST for the bike's looks. I'm very disappointed with R-15 tyre size n also a bigger one couldn't be installed, a fat tyre adds a robustness in the looks of a bike.

i really saw an fz 15 , black colour in new delhi near ashram, believe me guys it was looking like a piece of art, superb rear tyre, i think it was "130"-17'. this bike looks very stable, with sexy looks , it will def rock the 150cc segment.
when this bike will lunch at malaysia....
possibly after Indian launch.
