Yamaha R15 is a india specific bike hosting an 150cc engine which was designed for just one thing - Performance! A bike which can be said as the fastest in Indian Bikes. Although the engine details are secret R15 have several first-in-Indian-bike features.
It is based on totally race technology with which MotoGP bikes runs, technology with which R1 is built. It is India’s first 150cc 4 valve engine. It is India’s first Bike with forged pistons. It is India’s first Bike with a Diasil Cylinder. It is India’s first Bike with the Deltabox frame, again based on the R1. And it is India’s first Bike with a 6speed gear box.
It is Fuel Injected and will hit the market in June 2008 .The rear tyres though are only a mere 100, MRF uses imported Soft compound to give it better grip than similar sized tyres.
We can expect a prize of INR 80000/- for a beast like this. Never care for the CC. I hope it will have 20+ bhp and a top speed somewhere near 140kmph. I repeat , I HOPE!

Reached succesfully 130kph/80mph on greater noida expressway , control is excellent upto 110kph/70mph and after that it is insane!!!!!!!!!!!

"And it is India's first Bike with a 6speed gear box." ... well I'd like to prove you wrong on this. Yamaha RD350 had a six speed transmission back in 1986 itself. So RD350 was India's first bike with 6 speed not R15. I guess this is the second.
Its on-road price in kolkata will be near about 105000/-

yamaha is gre8,till now no bike have been broken a record of rx 100 in picape,i think this bike will be do some records ,i am very crazy to buy this bike , if this bike fails then also i will buy this bike,bcoz this is 1st bike in india with this feauterts

I owned R 15 and its grip on road is worst, slips alot in rainy season, aslo pick is not up to the mark

loads, provided power ad pricing is right. Ig it's based in VXion & pumps 15 BHP, a higher price tag will be a strict no no.

the price in chennai is 108000. well i drove this bike yesterday.....it was amaziiiiiiiiiiing experience. though its 150cc i could clearly feel the diference between my CBZ extereme(also 150 cc) and R15. the built is poor...the material is not impressive enough ...thats the only minus point.....BUT SURELY A WIMMER FOR THIS PRICE
LOL you telling me that CBZ extreme has better built and material quality??? and still R15 is better and a winner due to it's price!!!!

the bike looks small, rear wheels are too thin and doesnt go in sync with the ovrall getup..Considering the build and material quality...this bike is definitely over priced....I repeat, it is over-priced and a failure...
the bike is roking but some of his fans are feel sad by his fule effeciency.

hi guys dnt thnk very silly on R15 ,its a great bike in in India,the only bike can beat pulsar 220,its 150cc,17bhp ,per kilometer 40to 45,yamaha Rocks for ever ,
just thnk abt RX 135.100.Wt apick up .nobody can beat yamaha bikes ,dnt challenge with dangerious yamaha bikes got it
