"We still have not got any papers regarding this (the case) and we will take necessary action only after receiving it," Bajaj Auto Ltd Vice-President, Business Development and Corporate Affairs, Ravi Kumar told reporters.
TVS today informed informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it had filed a suit seeking damages of Rs 250 crore against BAL at the Bombay High Court for alleged defamation.
It had also sought an unqualified apology from BAL. The company also said it had filed another case at the Madras High Court seeking to restrain BAL from issuing threats of filing patent infringement case against its upcoming motorcycle model 'Flame'.
The fight between the two companies erupted when BAL said it would file a patent infringement case against TVS for using a technology in its new bike Flame, which the Pune-based company claimed violated its twin spark plug technology DTSi. The Chennai-based company is expected to launch the 125 cc 'Flame' sometime this month.
