FORMER MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has stated he would seriously consider riding for Ducati in 2009 if his Yamaha machinery fails to improve next season.
"If it gets better I can wait another year. If not there is nothing left to do," Rossi told www.gazzetta.it
The Italian is despondent after a relatively uninspiring 2007 season in Moto GP, where Rossi finished in third place - the first time the seven-time world champion has finished outside the top two in any category since he started competing in Grand Prix.
"I have a good relationship with both (Ducati and Honda), but definitely I would prefer Ducati because they are Italian."
